Home / What we do

Six things your giving pays for

Every volunteer covers their own travel and food, so donations go to the children rather than to running the organisation.

The December tour

Every year the whole family travels to one rural community for two days: food, clothing, games, gifts and time spent with the children. 2025 took us to Gbegbekope-Ehi in the Volta Region.

Back-to-school drives

Books, uniforms, bags and stationery handed out before term starts, so that a missing exercise book is never the reason a child stays home. Most recently at Pediatorkope Basic School, Ada.

School fees for individual children

Where a family cannot carry the cost, we carry it. Kelvin, Grace and Desmond are in school today because the family covers their fees and materials.

Fixing the classrooms

Windows reglazed and desks repaired at Saint Thomas Basic School, Avenorpedo, and T-shirts supplied to Deveme D/A Basic School in Koforidua.

Christmas camp

Two days of games, teaching and food over the Christmas period, run with visiting friends of the family from Germany and Brazil.

Growing the family

Every volunteer pays their own way. We are looking for more hands, more communities and more partners who want to come along on the next tour.

The 2026 tour needs funding

Preparations for the December 2026 tour and the back-to-school drives are under way. Every volunteer pays their own way, so every cedi given goes to the children.
