What we collect, and when
If you write to us
The contact form asks for your name, phone number, email address and message. We store them so we can reply, and we email a copy to info@kidztourfamily.com. We keep enquiries while they are useful and delete them when they are not.
If you comment on a post
We store the name you give, your email address and what you wrote. Your name and comment are published; your email address never is. We only use it if we need to reply to you. Every comment is read by one of the family before it appears.
If you love a post
So that the count means something, we store a one-way fingerprint made from your network address and browser. It cannot be turned back into either, we cannot identify you from it, and it is used for nothing else.
Automatically
Our server keeps ordinary web logs, and we count how many times each post is read. We also record network addresses briefly to stop the contact and comment forms being flooded; those records are deleted after a day.
Cookies
This site sets a session cookie when you use a form, so we can tell a real submission from a forged one, and it remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Neither follows you to other websites. The member portal sets a sign-in cookie for people with an account.
Other people's services
- Google AdSense shows advertising on our news pages, and nowhere else on this site. Google and its partners may use cookies to choose which adverts you see. You can control this at Google My Ad Center and read Google's terms at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Tawk.to provides the chat window. If you open it, what you type goes to them as well as to us.
- Google Maps loads on the contact page when you scroll to it.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site is set in.
Children
Photographs on this site are published with the permission of the children's parents, guardians or community leaders. If you are a parent or guardian and want a photograph of your child removed, write to info@kidztourfamily.com and we will take it down. You do not have to explain why.
This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your information to anyone.
- Publish your email address or phone number.
- Add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us or left a comment.
Your choices
Write to info@kidztourfamily.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will not ask you to justify the request.
